Me dirijo con fervor y sagacidad revolucionaria a nuestras comunidades, expresandome desde esta caja de hierro bajo la tortura sicologica y fisica. Pero jamas me dare por vencido de las ganas de este opresor gobierno imperialista. Es una alegria y una victoria tener otra vez presente la fortaleza de la Peña del Bronx, barricada de los oprimidos y marginales en el Bronx y en toda la ciudad de Nueva York. Es importante que el barometro, centro de justicia e igualdad que este siempre como una antorcha para todos nosotros--esto es para nosotros: la Peña del Bronx! Hoy septiembre 11 marca el treinta aniversario del terrorismo criminal de la masacre al pueblo trabajador, campesino y marginal chileno. Hoy nuestra voz se une bajo la antorcha del heroico pueblo chileno, de un pueblo que llevo al poder a un gobierno socialista con apoyo de los socialistas, comunistas y humanistas. Chile es la tierra de este continente americano que jamas le cerro la puerta al emigrante; por esa razon desde el principio del siglo XX emigrantes palestinos fueron aceptados en esta tierra fertil y bondadosa. Tenia 21 años cuando entre a la bondadosa Chile, por el desierto del norte, y los que me adoptaron fue la izquierda chilena. Jamas se me olvida que los socialistas me garantizaron, los comunistas eran mis guias, y el Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria (MIR) eran mis colegas, por muchas razones. Cuando la izquierda llego al poder, la mayoria del pueblo trabajador y campesino chileno no confiaban en los militares, porque un presentimiento les decia que las armas deben estar en manos del pueblo y no de los gorilas tradicionalistas militares, producto de la burguesia nacional. Sucedio la traicion y la masacre de este pueblo revolucionario en esto Cono Sur, el 11 de septiembre de 1973, dirigido por ordenes de este imperialista gobierno de Estados Unidos, este mismo imperio que protege, ayuda y garantiza al carnicero Ariel Sharon y su administracion de derecha. Este mismo gobierno, que tiene ocupado Puerto Rico, es el mismo que invadio Afghanistan, esta de colonialista en Irak, tiene bloqueada a Cuba inhumanitariamente por mas de 40 años. Es el mismo que asesino mas de medio millon japoneses con bombas atomicas en Nagasaki y Hiroshima. Para nosotros la leccion chilena ha sido una leccion para todos los movimientos y partidos de la clase trabajadora y campesina: que no debemos confiar de la derecha ni de sus amos imperialistas. Por eso es necesario recordar que nuestros pueblos unidos jamas seran vencidos. Por hoy nuestra voz nos une bajo la antorcha de este heroico pueblo que llevo al poder al Compañero Salvador Allende. En memoria del Compañero Salvador Allende y todos los martires, pido tres minutos de silencio. Pero esta escuela chilena es internacional por hoy dia. En Palestina nos enseño que nuestra segunda Intifada era necesaria. La lucha del pueblo nos a llegado ya al tercer año de resistencia por liberacion nacional en nuestro territorio. En nombre de los martires de este pueblo heroico chileno, seguimos unidos internacionalmente desde Santiago hasta San Juan, hasta Palestina y hasta el corazon del Bronx, con un mensaje que el pueblo trabajador y marginal son los que deben gobernar, y ojala que este siglo XXI sea el final de estos criminales imperialistas. Viva el pueblo de Chile! Viva Puerto Rico libre! Viva la Intifada Palestina! Y vivan todos los pueblos aqui y en el mundo entero que luchan contra la explotacion, el racismo y el colonialismo con la inspiracion de nuestro maestro Salvador Allende!

I am addressing our communities with fervor and revolutionary wisdom, writing from this iron box, under conditions of physical and psychological torture. But I'll never consider myself defeated by the wishes of this oppressive imperialist government. It is a joy and a victory to remember once again the stronghold of la Pena del Bronx, a barricade of the oppressed and marginalized in the Bronx and in the whole of New York City. It is important that this barometer, this center of justice and equality always exists as a beacon for all of us--this is for us: la Pena del Bronx! Today, September 11, marks the 30th anniversary of the criminal terrorism of the massacre of Chile's working people, campesinos and marginalized people. Today our voice is united under the torch of the heroic Chilean people, of a people that brought a socialist government to power with the support of the socialists, communists and humanists. Chile is the land in this American continent that never shut its door on immigrants; for this reason, since the start of the 20th century Palestinian immigrants were accepted in this fertile and kindly land. I was 21 when I entered kindly Chile, through the northern desert, and the ones who adopted me were the Chilean left. I never forget that the socialists were my guarantors, the communists were my guides, and members of the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR) were my colleagues, for many reasons. When the left came to power, the majority of Chile's working people and campesinos didn't trust the military, because a foreboding told them that arms should be in the hands of the people and not in the hands of the traditionalist military gorillas, the product of the national bourgeoisie. There followed the treason and the massacre of this revolutionary people in the Southern Cone, Sept. 11, 1973, directed by the orders of the imperialist government of the United States, the same empire that protects, aids and acts as guarantor for the butcher Ariel Sharon and his rightwing administration. This same government, which keeps Puerto Rico occupied, is the one that invaded Afghanistan, that treats Iraq as a colony, that has inhumanely kept Cuba under a blockade for more than 40 years. It is the one that murdered more than a half- million Japanese with atomic bombs in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. For us the lesson of Chile has been a lesson for all the movement and parties of the working and campesino class: that we mustn't trust the right wing or its imperialist master. For this it is necessary to remember that our peoples, united, will never be defeated. For today, our voices are united under the torch of this heroic people that brought Compañero Salvador Allende to power. In memory of Compañero Salvador Allende and all the martyrs, I ask for three minutes of silence. But today this Chilean school is international. In Palestine it taught us that our second Intifada was necessary. The people's struggle has now brought us to the third year of resistance for national liberation in our territory. In the name of the martyrs of this heroic Chilean people, we remain united internationally from Santiago to San Juan, to Palestine and to the heart of the Bronx, with a message that working and marginalized people are the ones who should govern, and let's hope that this 21st century will be the end for these imperialist criminals. Viva the people of Chile! Viva free Puerto Rico! Viva the Palestinian Intifada! And vivan all the peoples here and in the whole world who struggle against exploitation, racism and colonialism with the inspiration of our teacher Salvador Allende!
