Farouk Congratulates International Socialist Organization on 500th Issue of Socialist Worker May 31, 2004 With revolutionary fervor, I direct to you dear comrades in the International Socialist Organization (ISO), my congratulations from the General Secretary of the International Socialist Organization, to the Central Committee of the Party, and to all the members and friends of the Party. And today marks this important commemoration of the 500th issue of our newspaper, the Socialist Worker, the voice of the working class, the marginal people, the oppressed, the people suffering discrimination, opposing the brutality and tyranny of the United States Government, which was raped, from the beginning of the creation of independence in the United States and all over the world, which the US government are the champions of the brutality and tyranny, which the compradores raped the independence and replaced the British, French, and Spanish colonialists, continuing their role model of exploitation and racism, which until today has never been repaired, and to practice hegemonism with a view to controlling the world. Today, this is the origin of all the disgrace in the world and in the nation, the same role model which the Zionist settlers have used until today. Today the United States is playing the role of the gendarmes of protection to the big multi-national corporations, the mega-banks and the real estates, without having learned from the experience of the heroic Vietnam, and using the pretext of national security, with terrorism to invade Afghanistan, and afterwards Iraq, for the interest of oil, resources, and hegemony, which in the nation practice oppression and brutality against the immigrants, especially those from Arab and Muslim countries, with a sinister plan to control the minds of the American people in general, and to achieve their objectives. This causes me to remember during the time of the gold and silver fever how those pigs were hungry for gold and silver, massacring millions of people and enslaving the African people, removing them brutally from their own land and forcing them into exploitation and slavery, causing millions to die from this maltreatment and brutality, with the bullets of the old guns, which they called arquebus (harquebus), using the sword, bringing diseases, conquered by tyranny, in this continent, which today your feet are planted on. But, in the principle of rebellion with cause, which the practice of this charismatic newspaper, Socialist Worker, is in the hands of the masses, to deliver the message, which includes this message, the tyranny, brutality and destruction by the order of the right-wing Israeli government, against the Palestinian people and Palestinian rights, ignoring any geo-political solution, using American arms, Apache and other military helicopter, phantoms, tanks, and missiles, made in the United States and sent to this racist, tyrannical government of Israel, which are seiging inclusive of the expression of the working-class progressive political parties, organizations from the Jewish and Arab communities inside the state, (Israel) in the nation, and practicing hegemonism with tyranny, massacres and destruction in the areas occupied on June 4, 1967, which was completely inhabited by indigenous Arab Palestinian People, implanting settlers from Brooklyn and all over the world and expelling, stealing resources, destroying, uprooting, and creating cantons, prohibiting the Palestinian people from creating their own independent state, and ignoring and rejecting the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to his homes and properties in the historical land of Palestine. And, closer to the history of the moment, you see what took place in Rafah, Gaza, which this crime is a parallel to Warsaw against the tyrannical Nazi conqueror in 1943, opposing the Nazi criminal occupation, which today in the historical land of Palestine is practiced by the fascist and butcher, Ariel Sharon and his administration in Israel, under the protection of this fascist criminal administration of George Bush in America. Always, in this world, the struggle is not a struggle of race, of religion, or ethnicity, but the struggle is a class struggle, oppressed against oppressors. For that, this beautiful, charismatic newspaper, Socialist Worker is the bow and the arrow of opposition to this injustice. I extend my thanks to this newspaper, which I congratulate in my name, and in the name of the Palestinian People, who believe in a democratic understanding of equality, justice, and rights to future peace and love between the two peoples in the historical land of Palestine, reserving the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, as the equals of the Israeli people, to create a paradise, peace with justice, rights and equality in the historical land of Palestine, in the region and in the world. In the name of peace and love. And in this nation, in which I have been incarcerated, tortured, beaten, locked up in solitary confinement for eight months and ten days to shut my mouth and to prevent me from speaking out about human rights for my people, the Palestinians, the Arabs, the Muslims, and all other oppressed peoples in the world, who are fighting for his rights and for his freedom and equal rights against the police brutality, racism, and oppression, and to stop the taxes, paid by you, from being used for invasion, destruction, and genocide in the land of the two rivers, (Iraq), as in Afghanistan, and for the genocide and tyranny used by the Israeli army, government, and armed settlers against the heroic people of Palestine, which today are fighting the national liberation struggle, like in Iraq and Afghanistan, against occupation, and to build prisons in the United States, where they imprison the black, Latino, and poor white youths and immigrants. About my own situation, the misery of my life for the last two years (less 14 days), which, under the sinister, diabolic mind of John Ashcroft and his administration was practiced against my physical and psychological rights, beaten, tortured, and deprived of medicine, railroaded in nine jails and prisons, put in solitary confinement for eight months and ten days by the order of the diabolic mind of John Ashcroft and his sinister administer administration. But by the help of you beautiful people, which you are part of in the United States, from working class and the progressive and humanist forces, and progressive lawyers from the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), National Lawyers' Guild (NLG), and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), I won my freedom. But still the war continues against injustice, oppression, discrimination, brutality and wholesale deportation, not only for the Arab, Muslim and Southeast Asian people, but against all the immigrant working classes, which are becoming scapegoats in the hands of this imperialist regime. You, the Socialist Worker Newspaper, the official organ of the International Socialist Organization, are always there in my defense and in the defense of justice everywhere. I congratulate you from the deep of my heart, to continue the struggle until we win and until the creation of a socialist society, with peace and justice for everyone in the nation and in the world.
